We study the impurity induced spin texture---that is, the spatial profile of the impurity induced `local' moment---in the quasi-two dimensional pyrochlore slab magnet SCGO. We demonstrate that a simple effective theory is able to account most of the properties of this spin-texture, even at temperatures at which thermal fluctuations of the impurity induced moment become important. We also study the signatures of such spin textures in NMR Knight shift experiments. [with R. Moessner and A. Sen] |
