We study a model system comprising a qubit that modulates a scattering matrix of nearby voltage-biased quantum conductor. We solve the problem beyond pertubation theory extending recent suggestions of Levitov et al.(cond-mat/0411180) concerning Fermi-edge singularity. We are able to identify the signatures of many-electron scattering events in transport characteristics of the system. We explain why the model is generic for quantum transport of interacting electrons.
