Scientific Events

The scientific life at mpipks is characterised by many events:

Each year around 1200 scientists from all over the world visit the institute to take part in workshops and seminars. The aim of these events is to bring new avenues of research into the light, and to foster the international exchange of thought about modern and forward-looking fields of the physics of complex systems. Follow this link if you are interested in organizing a seminar or workshop at our institute.

Regular talks and discussion panels enrich and structure the research work of the departments and groups at the institute.

Our series of public lectures aims to make scientific results accessible to the general public. Active scientists speak about their recent work and explain it to a lay public with an interest in natural sciences, or to school children of different ages.

Workshops and Seminars

Each year, we host about 18 international workshops and seminars on topical question of complex systems research.
