Billiards: Ergodicity in two-dimensional and three-dimensional billiards. Quantization and statistical properties of spectra. Andreev billiards as a models of superconducting cavities.

Semiclassical quantization: Gutzwiller's trace formula. Periodic orbit quantization.

Mesoscopic Systems:

Applications of Billiards to model nanowires and microjunctions and their physical properties (conductance).

Energy spectrum in nanoclusters.

Statistical Mechanics:

Hamiltonian Mechanics and kinetic equations. Dissipation and influence of chaos on dissipation. Applications to description of fluids

Diffusion processes.

Master Equations and Quantum Brownian Motion.

Self Organized Criticality and its applications to Biology, Granular Materials, etc.

Modelling of biological systems and sociological systems using nonlinear dynamics techniques.
