Collective Phenomena in Solid
State and Materials Physics
The group focuses on various aspects of strongly correlated
electron physics.
Current research interests include
- quantum critical heavy fermion
compounds
- critical Kondo destruction in quantum
impurity problems
- Berry phase effects
- out-of-equilibrium quantum criticality
- transport in correlated systems
- exotic ground states in quantum impurity systems
- computational many-body physics.
Close ties exist with the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids (MPI-CPfS) where such systems are experimentally investigated.
