An ultracold 40K-87Rb mixture realizes a Fermi-Bose quantum gas with tunable interspecies interaction via magnetic Feshbach resonances. This represents a very interesting system to study phenomena such as mean-field instabilities, boson-induced superfluidity, formation of dipolar molecules and quantum phases in optical lattices. We will report on our progresses in the experimental investigation of this system.
