Brief description of the theme of this meeting:
This is the second focus week of the Advanced Study Group (ASG) on Statistical Physics and Anomalous Dynamics of Foraging at the MPIPKS Dresden. The research agenda of our ASG is outlined here. The aim of the associated two focus weeks is to bring together experts working in this field for scientific discussions.
Our second focus week features 10 talks, given by 1 PKS colloquiums speaker, 5 external guests and 4 ASG members.

Organizational details:
All guests are welcome! We will have two talks per day, with plenty of time for informal discussions. The talks will take place in the institute's seminar rooms as stated below. Directions of how to get there can be found here. For further information please contact Rainer Klages.

Programme

For scientists who wish to have an introduction to this field, our little lecture series consisting of three lectures should be of particular interest: Our three lecturers will cover main topics from their book Stochastic foundations of movement ecology (Springer, 2013). The lectures are for 1 hour each. All other talks are for 45 minutes with up to 15 minutes of discussion.
